Great introduction to Cinder, Creative Coding and C++

There are already various introductions to Cinder on the Internet. If you learn better through books, though, then this is the book for you.
I bought this for my team as we are porting everyone and everything over to C++. Given that I work with pretty brilliant people who already understand presentation layer development with WPF as well as advanced C#, we found that even though this Cinder book treats C++ issues tangentially, it still works great as a C++ primer because the practice projects are simply much more interesting than the typical 'Hello World' and 'here's how you loop through an array' samples found in other books.
Which is just a sly way of saying that if you are already smart and are looking for a hook into C++, then try this book out.
Finally, if you are unfamiliar with creative coding and some of the concepts and techniques behind generative art, then you should really skim through this book to get an idea of what's going on there.
With the flux and transitions occuring in the development world, the decline of java and flash, the rise of web development and C++, as well as the general dev confusion currently happening at various tech giants, I feel this is the right intro book at the right time.

Easy to understand and follow

The book covers most of what you need to get started with cinder. The examples are easy to follow and the break down of the examples cover all the major concepts behind them. Overall a good book.
