Disappointing

I own his endgame manual and was amazed at the detailed analysis of many types of positions therein. There is little in here in terms of advice/insight to help with calculation. Certainly studies will help calculation, but this is simply a collection of studies, for which there are many other excellent sources online. This book will sell on name recognition and the fancy title, and while certainly it isn't bad, there is no curriculum here, just a set of difficult studies.

I'm about USCF 1500. I found this very interesting and informative! Oleg Pervakov is a rare chess talent who should be appreciated by everyone.

Nice book on endgame techniques through endgame studies

Very nice book on Endgame studies by Mark Dvoretsky. Like all his previous books, this book is very instructive. Studies for Practical Players explains various techniques of endgame calculations through the use of endgame studies.
